Free Experience Certificate Generator

The experience certificate is the document a former employee shows for the rest of their career to prove tenure and role at your company. A well-worded certificate — with dates, designation and a short summary of responsibilities — travels with the person for years.

About the Experience Certificate Generator

What to include, what to omit

Include the employee's name, designation, department, employment start and end dates, and a two-to-three-line summary of key responsibilities. Do not include salary, reason for leaving or subjective performance judgments — those belong in a separate reference, not on the certificate.

Tenure phrasing

Use 'from X to Y' with full dates. Ambiguous phrasing like 'about a year' looks unprofessional and can cause problems in background verification.

Signature and letterhead

The certificate should be on company letterhead and signed by an authorised signatory — usually HR or the direct manager. Upload your logo and use the signatory fields to produce the correct footer.
